Artist's Comments

Still working on my skills with cinema 4d. This was a piece I decided I wanted to fool around a bit more with lighting things. I put a light source in the middle of the render, I think that looks good the way it radiates from the center and then another outside to light more of it. Also, I used a floor to get a reflection. C/C would be much appreciated as well as some tips. Thanks!

Side note about this title as well, I have my sister title my works for me and she said this one looked like a bunch of wood so....TIMBER! it is.

I like it but I'll give you one tip that I learned in my 3D sculpture class. When working with a complex object (such as this) it's best to go with a simple texture, or at least something not as reflective. In some spots it works but in others it's just too busy. When you make simple renders that is the best time for a reflective surface because it can give the object the illusion of complexity.

Hope this helps! You're doing great so far just keep at it!

Are you talking about in the middle where you can see the reflection of the render in itself? I think I get what you mean by being too busy. That actually helps a lot, there was something I thought that looked off and that's it!
